What is included in a kit?
Every complete ready-to-use kit includes:
- 3.78 litres (1 US gallon) of ready-to-use protective coating
- One application brush for tight spots and corners
- Two rollers for easy/even application
- One roller handle
- One abrasive pad to for scuffing/prepping truck bed
- One can opener
Plus: Bed liner application instructions in English, French, and Spanish AND application instructions for other uses (also in English, French, and Spanish).

How much do I need?
1 kit is sufficient to cover one 6-foot truck bed with 2 coats, 8-foot truck beds require 1 additional can of coating (946 ml).  The kit includes one 3.78 litre can which covers 60 square feet with 2 coats, the 946 ml can covers an additional 15 square feet with 2 coats.

What surfaces will it bond to?
HERCULINER will bond to most clean/dry surfaces, including steel, aluminum, concrete, rubber, plastic, wood and fibreglass. Prepping the surface is critical for best results; instructions are included with the kit.

What is the shelf life of HERCULINER?
If unopened, HERCULINER can be stored for several years.

How tough is HERCULINER?
HERCULINER won’t chip, flake or peel and is resistant to damage from gasoline, oil, chemicals, solvents and acids. It can withstand years of heavy duty use.  It's tensile strength is between 2400 and 3000 PSI (depending on application and cure-time) and it's elongation is over 225%.

How can I remove HERCULINER once it's applied?
You can use Xylene while product is still wet, but if it dries, it's permanent.

What happens if I get  HERCULINER on my hands?
Clean off immediately with Xylene, then wash hands with soap and water.

How long does it take HERCULINER to dry?
You should allow HERCULINER to dry about 9-12 hours before any light use and allow 24 hours for a complete cure. Curing begins when HERCULINER is exposed to atmospheric moisture. Therefore, with  higher humidity, curing time is shorter.

How thick should it be applied?
First coat forms a good base. After 1 hour to 1 ½ hours to dry; then apply a second coat that will cover any open pores.

Can you repair a section that has been damaged?
Yes, HERCULINER adheres to itself, while other coatings do not and would have to be removed for gouging repair.

Is HERCULINER flammable?
Yes, but after drying, it is no longer flammable.

Can I apply HERCULINER in the winter?
Yes, HERCULINER can be applied between 0° C (32° F) and 35° C (95° F). However, the colder the temperature and the lower the humidity, the longer the curing process will take. Additionally, it must be applied in a well ventilated area.

What is the difference between our coating formula versus the other spray-on coatings out there?
HERCULINER has a proprietary polyurethane and rubber formula. HERCULINER is the only do-it-yourself bedliner with a tough, thick, skid-resistant finish that won’t chip, flake or peel.

What is not included in a kit that will be needed to do the job right?
One litre of Xylene, Acetone or MEK solution (to prep the surface of the bed before coating), rubber gloves, stir stick (We recommend a drill with a paint mixing attachment.), a paint tray, some rags, and tape for masking off areas.  Xylene is the most recommended cleaning solvent as it can also be used as a thinner if required.

What kind of warranty does HERCULINER have?
We warranty the product against faulty manufacture and defective materials. We cannot accept liability for application or use of this product (too many variables, proper prepping/cleaning of surface, application methods, etc.).

What is the average cost for a dealer installed spray-on bed liner?
There are a number of different products and dealers offering bed liner spray-on services. Finished product mil thickness, skid resistant properties, and costs vary by location from $400 Cdn to over $1,000 Cdn.  Suggested retail for a professionally sprayed-on Herculiner bed liner is $350 to $600 but this can vary with location.  Please see your local Herculiner dealer for details.

Can I use HERCULINER Coating for other uses?
Yes, the HERCULINER Coating can be used on many surfaces such as steel, aluminum, concrete, rubber, plastic, wood and fibreglass.  You can apply it to steps, walkways, 4x4 tubs, decks, or trailer floors just to name a few.  There are literally hundreds of uses.
